Learning to drive in an Automatic Car.
An Automatic car is easier to drive and control, there are only 2 pedals to deal with, one brake to slow or stop the car, one accelerator (gas) to make you go.
No clutch to fiddle with or stall the car and no balancing the clutch and brake.
You will not need to think which gear you should be selecting, all this gives you much more time to look around making it safer for you and everbody else.
When you come to a junction for instance you will need to slow down. This is where the brake comes in to get the car to a safe speed so we can negotiate the junction safely. In most cases we will need to use a little gas (accelerator) to go around the corner. Once around, if it's safe, we apply more gas to get up to a safe speed again.
No gears to fiddle with.
No clutch to stall the car.
Far less tiring, again safer.
You will also find it much more comfortable.
